Compensation Payments

£4 million spent on compensation payments to prisoners in the last year, One of them getting £2.8 million. The number of cases is now six times higher than three years ago, Now that prisoners have cottoned on to the human rights act. What is the point of us spending a fortune getting them locked up, and then giving them more money, When they find life inside disagreeable. If they don't like life inside, Don't do the crime, Simple!

any person breaking the law, depending on how heinous the crime is,should then have their human rights torn up,my simple opinion is,they did not care about their victim why should we care about their rights etc.....,a prisoner should be entitled to no compensation what so ever,in fact that person should be held to monetary compensation to his/her victim if possible.

Totally agree Shieldwall, These buggers have no concept of punishment cos they don't get any really.
Could do with going back in time when discipline, respect and punishment that fit the crime existed. Hate to sound all doom and gloom, but this country and Europe and (slightly behind us) maybe U.S. is going down the pan that fast it's unbelievable and I really don't know how long our people are gonna keep taking it before they see the light and rebel.
It might be too late by then.. I tell you I'm totally outraged and also terrified at the same time.
