Once again the police have got it wrong. A grandmother subjected to foul-mouthed abuse, spends a night in a police cell, for giving one of the youths what she described as a 'clip round the ear'. It seems you can report this sort of behaviour for months to the police, who do nothing and if you then do something about it yourself, you find yourself like this grandmother, spending a night in a police cell, with a possible criminal record. If you are a law-abiding person and this sort of thing happens, look out.

Typical of some Daily Mail reading New Right "I know the truth!" person- just because it's happened to one person it means that EVERYBODY is in danger so I'll pump fear into everybody... I mean I agree- I feel sorry for the Grandmother, but you've reported it badley.

Skillwill: expand please? Surely your condemnation is an equally biased gut reaction?
What evidence do you have to the contrary?
Bo!!ocks + Bo!!ocks = double B0!!ocks
Whereas argument + counter-argument = reasoned debate

I tend to agree with skillwill, here (thre's a first). The media -- in particular the Daily mail -- do tend to scaremonger unnecessarily.

Having said this, the left -wing media are just as bad, recall the fake photo's of British troops beating up an Iraqi prisoner published by the Mirror.

Still, good blog. I'll visit regularly.

The way the press is now a days you will never find them being impartial, this is possibly because all the current press agents came through the same style of education system, the same funny handshakes and the same commi ideals. (a bit like Blair)
