Home office figures reveal 10,000 crimes every month are committed by people out on probation. When is the government going to realize, The only way to get this under control, is to change the rules, So that when a sentence is passed the prisoner serves that sentence, with no remission, and if they don't behave, time is added on. Simple you would think, Maybe to simple for this lot in power, that's the problem.

I would go further than saying that if a person is sentenced to 5 years he should serve those years no matter what, whilst he is languishing in prison, make the swine work, and i mean work. The yanks have got the correct idea,in certain states they have chain gangs,we should adopt the idea also, they could cut roadside grass, paint lines etc...on roads, tidy the streets and other public areas the list is endless, and if the criminal is a complete problem the job should be more difficult,no holidays in my prisons!.

Well said. I could not agree more, with you, The harder we make it for the criminal the better.

Also consider coporal punishment for the serious crimes of murder (with proper poof of guilt, and sterilisation for paedophiles!
We could also do with a police force that stops the crime at its source; a few cretins being clipped around the ear without the police being taken to court for assault would be a start!
