A Muslim police officer, who did not wish to guard the Israeli Embassy, had his request granted. If he did not wish to provide a service to the public, what was he doing joining in the first place. If he cannot perform his duties for whatever reasons, he should leave. I must add, I cannot wait for the day, when we have no Muslims in our police service. I may have a long wait i fear.

Hi All,

Yes it is quite amazing really unfortunately Labour have corrupted the press, the armed services and the police force. They have done their homework (if it is their intention to destroy British values)it seems or they are completely insane. The real argument about this issue really is that a policeman (and milatary personnel) serves Queen and country to uphold the law any personal or moral issues when carrying out the job should be put to one side. The person in question should be above personal involement and uphold the law. That is why there are (or at least were) strict entry proceedures and the applicants integrity vetted. I believe that we must accept that they are various circumstances when personnel can be excused for a task. However it begs the question of where the policeman in question loyalties lie.

I wonder if a white copper who asked to be excused guard duty outside the Pakistani embassy would be let off so easily without even accusations of racism, like you say "Rapture" he is supposed to be serving Queen and country no matter what,it begs the question, who`s side is he on?.

What for me is the main issue coming from this, is the overall perseption that 'they' as coppers can be excused from protecting people or property that their brethren may wish to attack.
In effect thats working in cahoots with the potential jihadists.
As I keep saying they should not be allowed in any positions of power, whatsoever!

Get them all out. I don''t trust them, Who knows, they could be given inside information to their Muslim brothers and sisters. They are the enemy within.

The following concerns me about the issues of this story and other news tonight:

Why did Sir Ian Blair request an enquiry? and indeed how was this rather minor point leaked.

Why the sudden news about the wearing of veils?

Is this pointing to a goverment that is starting to listen to the concerns of the population? (through croc tears of course)

I would say it points to a government thats waking up to the rise in support for nationalist parties, rather than the threat of Islam.
